Young is describing early-stage science, much of it still in animal models or first-in-human work, and his timelines are optimistic in ways that have not been borne out across the field's history. His own position in the industry shapes which technologies receive attention. None of this makes the book misleading, provided it is read as an informed projection rather than a description of available care. Nothing in the far-horizon chapters should be treated as a treatment option, and claims about specific tests or interventions still warrant individual clinical assessment.
